Default Clutch problems?

Hey guys, I am new to the forum. I am working with a 2007 MINI Cooper S.
Just recently, I ran into a problem. I can engage the clutch to turn the vehicle on and shift gears but it almost feels like the clutch won't engage because the vehicle will not move. Any ideas? New to owning a MINI so I am not sure of all the nooks and all. Thanks for your help.

Hi, I just joined the forum looking for how to change a clutch myself. Can you start it then put the handbrake on (in a safe spot) then shift into like 2 or 3 and let the clutch out. If the clutch is working it should stall right away. And I think if the car keeps running in 2nd gear going 0mph you could have a bad clutch. Which is what I am experiencing.
