Concerns about Break-In / Theft
Hi. A relative is hoping to buy a 2020 Mini S Convertible with Signature trim. Looks like a great car. The only problem is that she lives in an area with a moderately high property crime rate, where auto theft and break-ins are not unknown. She does not have a garage and must use on-street parking.
My question concerns how easy or difficult it would be for a thief to cut into the convertible top or rear window. Is this going to substantially increase our chances of a break-in, versus getting the hardtop coupe? Is there any way to reinforce the convertible, so as to make a break-in more difficult?
Many thanks!
