Looking to buy 2009 Mini Cooper S, 113000 miles

I just looked at a 2009 S in good physical shape, with 112000 miles, automatic transmission. He had the timing belt replaced at 98000 when he bought it used from a dealer. He's asking only $6000, but there are a few "issues" with it. Specifically, three lights are on - the Brakelight, the traction balanceing light (triangle with circle around it) and a turn-signal-out light.

He said the brakelight was on because the left rear brake sensor was broken. And that the Traction balancing light was on because that unit needs repair. And that the right rear turn signal bulb is out. And that to fix all that would cost about $800-1000.

Other than that, it seems to shift fine, and has plenty of power to climb hills. Exterior is near perfect except for some fading on the black racing stripes. And interior has some worn upholsery but otherwise fine. Tires have some tread left. There was water pooled in the trunk under the tool tray, but he says he spilled a jug of water back there.

So my question is, can I believe what he says about the causes of the warning lights and how much to have it fixed? If so, then it seems like a good deal to me based on prices I've seen in the area.

Thanks for any advice.
