moon roof sticking

Are any of you having trouble with your moon roof opening? Mine seems to stick on days when it is warm. I am wondering if this is common or do I need to have this looked into?

Mine also. Starts to pop up, then closes. If I push up on the rear of the front panel, it goes up OK. Something for my next visit to the dealer.

Mine has done this a few times. It opens fine however, on closing it will close then pop-up once in a great while. I just hit the button forward in small moves and it closes just fine. I suspect there is pollen or something getting on the sensor. Not sure to be honest but as far as function is it ok. As of now it isn't anything I am concerned about but if it continues I will probably take it and have the dealer look it over.

I have a 07 mini and just went through the same problem. What worked for me was to get a good quality white grease and lube up all the contact points where the roof slides on.What i was told was that with the car sitting in the sun, the roof heats up, expands and the glass roof tends to bind.Havent had a problem sence.

Hope this helps.

My Mini has been in the dealership twice for this, and is scheduled for a third time soon. As Dunhill said, the roof heats up in the sun, but they told me it was the rubber around the glass that expands. I'm going to try adding lube to the tracks.
