My Mini is BURNING through oil....help!!??!!??
 

I have been having some issues with my cooper since i got it. The check engine light was on when i got it, and they said they would fix it for me. They ended up telling me it was a camshaft position sensor. They said they fixed it but the check engine light kept coming back on. So i switched out the second sensor since its a DOHC and there are two sensors. I went back to my mechanic and he noticed that somehow i had NO oil...and i had just gotten an oil change maybe 2000 miles before that of full synthetic oil. So now i have been having to pay attention to my oil levels and in the last 2-3 weeks have added almost 3 quarts of oil cause i keep checking it and it keeps burning through oil like crazy. Please any help on this subject, i would be very greatful!!! And also, the oil is supposed to be to the 3rd notch on the oil stick right ??

My 07 burned through oil, but noticed I had leak. My engine light was on too. Now I'm dealing with a broken timing chain that destroyed my engine.
