Hello all, I'm thinking about getting a 2007 Cooper s, dose anyone know of any known issues with this model?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to MINI Cooper Forums! I'd look for a 2011+ MCS with the N18 engine. The 2007-2010 MCS are equipped with the N14 engine that has a lot of known issues. Such as the timing chain "death rattle", valve cover leak, carbon clean ups every 50k miles, HPFP failure, turbo oil line leak, etc. The HPFP replacement is pricey as the price of the pumps went up from $300 to upwards of $1200. If you're DIY savvy and think you can handle repairs on your own, then it shouldn't be an issue, but a lot of people will tell you to stay away from the older R56 and go for the newer ones with the N18 engines. Let me know if you have any questions.
