Hey all, I recently purchased a 2011 Mini Cooper S and super excited about it and doing some maintenance on it.

The weather strip at the bottom of the windshield where the cowl grille meets the windshield was cracked and falling apart (see image for clarity)
I purchased the part labeled #1 but this actually sits UNDER the cowl grille, the strip that fell apart is apparently part of #2 and #3 because I cannot find a part number for it.
I however do not want to spend $100 to replace the panels just for a piece of rubber. I bet someone has found an alternative.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

 

never mind, i caved and ordered the covers. But this is silly, whoever figures out what generic weather strip can be used can make a nice little side biz selling it.

Someone needs to do it, they won't keep making these forever
