I have a 2007 Mini S hatchback. The car sat in the garage for a month or so. When I attempted to pull it out one day to take it for inspection the left front wheel was locked up. Suspecting that the caliper or pads had froze up, I took it forward and reverse a few times to loosen it up. It still had a lot of friction. When I pulled the wheel off I found that the coil spring had broken and dropped below the spring mount and was rubbing the tire.

I am looking to sell the car so I'm not interested on "upgrading" the springs. I just want to find a good replacement spring. I was going to go with a junkyard piece but they said there are too many options that show up in the system to just pull one and sell.

I did consider replacing them all with Texas Speedwerks springs as they are said to fit stock struts. Problem is, they're on backorder. They told me that the last time they were backordered it was a year until they were released. I can't wait that long.

Where can I get a good replacement spring or springs to work along with the factory struts?
