How how how???

Moe, I just bought a 2010 JCW too...how did you bump it up to 240 hp???? I haven't picked it up yet but i am a firm believer that more is better when it comes to hp, especially when it comes from just tweaking what you already have! Thanks!

You can go through a tuning company that will send you an ECU program based on your build and VIN, or find a local tuner and they can hook it to a dyno and make modifications. If you have a warranty though, this could void it. I just bought a 2012 MCS and installing an intake, downpipe, exhaist and tune could put me above the JCW in power, but might make my warranty go bye-bye.

I have a '07 Cooper S and yes with the SPORT button pressed, I feel a tighter steering.

I was told that using the "sport" button could also decrease the fuel efficiency. Thatsvwhat he guy at the dealer said

It does. The sport button changes when the car shifts. It keeps it in gear longer to get higher rpms. When I race I pop it in sport and it doesn't shift until almost redline.

Will the additional 5 pounds of boost shorten the life of the turbo?

That is all it does ladies and gentelman....

Will sport mode shorten the life of the turbo?

@Steve Racz It wont, but your driving style does depending on the aggressiveness of your shifts, downshift etc. Basically if you always drive it like you stole it, yeah.

I have a 2015 Cooper S Countryman, I recently tried sport mode, I could tell a slight difference. Acceleration and handling. Other than that... wasn't anything that was super noticable :)
