Tire/Rim Upgrade

A friend has a set of 17" rims and tires for sale off a 08 Cooper S. I have an 08 Cooper base with 15" rims.
The question is what kind of issues might I run into making the switch?

What decision did you make on larger rims?

We have an 06 R50 with 15 inch and are considering going to 16 inch. Would you offer any advice based on your experience?

I bought the 17's and they fit good and look great. They also come with a new set of tires with less than 1k miles on them.
