Wheel sizes.

So I just got a mini cooper s mayfair, and the first thing that i would like to do is to is put a wider size wheel on. Whats the widest that some of you have gone without wheel rubbing issues?

I am also curious about this subject. We just bought a 2009 S and would like to put wider tires on it.

I will stay tuned to see if anyone answers.
