Default Window switches (4) not functioning

I have a 2011 Cabriolet CooperS. Many times after I put the top or down, all of the individual window switches cease to function at all. The windows go up and/or down when moving the top up or down, but cease to function when that move is completed. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Dave

Sounds like a circuit is running direct to earth, could be a damaged cover on the harness, pain to find as will take hours for an auto electrician to find, look for pinched wires around all and any closing points.

Thanks Nzr56coopers
That's certainly something (for my mechanic) to look for. Good winter project. Just a note: it happens intermittently, but more often than I am comfortable with.
