2009 Clubman cylinder head removal
Hello, I just purchased a 2009 Clubman with an engine that is only running on 3 cyl. The story is that it overheated because of a crack in the thermostat housing. Now after removing the valve cover i found the rocker arms for #4 exhaust valves sitting in the valley of the head!!! So now I need to remove the head and send it out to see if we can salvage it.
Removing the head: Just curious if anyone has attempted this yet, I'm wondering if once I get the cam gears off if there is danger of the timing chain coming off the crank gear? |

I have a 2012, bought with a blown head gasket. You're going to need a specialty tool to hold the cam in place when removing.
I have that tool, it cost me $350 and was difficult to find. It's yours for $300 if you are interested. Tim |
