Extended Warranty Options

I have a 2009 mini clubman S with 118000 miles on it. My question is has anyone bought a service policy and is pleased with the cost and service it provides.
I see many companies advertising but would like to be able to filter out the garbage before I start inquiring. My mini is in great condition but with service costs the way they are I was considering purchasing a policy.
Would certainly appreciate any information and advice fellow members may provide on a automobile service contract .
