I have a 2008 Mini Clubman 6-speed that is not starting consistently. I put the fob in the switch, hit the start button, but (usually) nothing except the "No Key" indicator.

However, It does start sometimes when I put the fob in the holder and all the dash lights come on as normal.

I've replaced the fob battery with new. I've tested the car's battery and it's excellent. I replaced the ignition switch with a new one. Still not starting.
