I had my cv axle on my passenger side go out while getting it replaced. I learned that the cv axle that is required does not reach without pulling on the cv axle which will cause it to break again. The old CV axle was 34 15/16 long with an input of 22 splines and out 26 output splines. The new axle I received was the exact same. During the install, the mechanics found that it is one inch short on the wheel hub. They checked anything that could cause the wheel to move and not have the axle to reach but supposedly nothing moved or bent. Does anyone have an idea of what could have caused this?
