2002 manual mini is stuck in first gear
 

So the other day I was driving and when I stopped at a stop sign and put it in 1st gear and tried to go it would get going. So I took it out of 1st gear and put it in neutral and tried again. It still would go. So I tried to put it in neutral and it wouldn't shift into nuetral. It was stuck in first. I looked under the car and there was a puddle of what I think was transmission fluid. It could've been oil but I just fixed an oil leak. And I just put a new clutch in too. So I don't know what wrong. Any idea what could be the problem??? And how much it would cost???

It could just be the transmission itself.
