2003 mini base problems
 

Hello all,

I am very new to the mini community, I recently bought a 2003 mini base that had been sitting for two years. I got a really good deal on it and the only thing wrong that the owner said was that it needed new shift cables. So I replaced the shift cables, did an oil flush, replaced the brakes, replaced the spark plug wires. Now the car is doing some weird things. It will start, go into gear, then roll with high revs, and when you push the clutch back in it stops the car immediately. Then when you go to take it out of gear, it is acting like it is in neutral but it is in gear and you cannot roll it in neutral or with the clutch in. And you cannot take it out of gear. Any advice on issues? Also the check engine light is on. The car has 150k miles. TIA
