2003 Mini Cooper project car

My Daugther recently turned 15 and she is very TINY we wanted to get her a small car but we didn't have a huge budget we found 2003 mini that was pretty messed up. Here are the issues any help on these would be appreciated:

1. The controls in the Headline for the sunroof, what is that called?? ( mine is missing)
2. If we do not drive the car for a few days the battery is dead. Are there any usual suspects?
3. The metal Gas cover separated from the plastic piece attached to the car, looks like some of the plastic is missing. Is there a good way to get those back together?
4. It seems hard to make big turns is this a mini thing or possibly a power steering pump ?

Cheers

I have a 2004 Mini Cooper and I might be able to help.

1. I would call those sunroof controls
2. I would say that is probably a bad battery or something is staying on in the car. Maybe try the radio or is anything plugged into the cigarette lighter. Sometimes the cigarette lighter will stay active on the car and draw current from the battery
3. If it were more I would buy a new gas cover. Sometimes they can leak when older and cause the check engine light to come on.
4. from my experience that is Mini thing. I have the same issue, especially if I am not going very fast.

I also have some seats I am getting rid of if you would like them.
