2006 Cooper S - First time owner - advice?

Always wanted one. Local guy has a 2006 Mini Cooper S with 92K on it. Automatic, asking $6700. 2 owners. No known accidents. Owner said there are no issues with it.

First, does anyone have any opinion on what this is truly worth as a private party sale? KBB says its not worth 6700.

Second, if I do take it for a test ride, what should I be looking for in a 10 year old car with 92K on it? (noises, etc.) What particular trouble areas should I ask about, that should have been addressed on this car given its age/miles?

Lastly, lets pretend I buy it, what major expense could be coming my way with it, in the next 10K miles?

Thank you!!!

Check out this buyers guide HERE for the best advice about problem areas to look out for. You'll want to compare this pricing to other MINI prices on craigs list, cars.com, autotrader, truecar.com, etc. KBB is just a basis and doesn't always accurately reflect pricing points in specific areas. I'd also highly recommend getting a pre purchase inspection by a certified MINI independent shop. They will be able to tell you exactly what needs to be fixed, if needed. They'll also probably be able to tell you if it's a good deal or if you should offer less money. Good luck!
