Check Engine, very little throttle. HELP.
 

HELP. When I got in my 2003 Mini Cooper base model this morning, it was idling high, slightly revving, with the check engine light on. When I reversed there was very little response in the throttle, I hardly went anywhere. Also when I got out of my car there was a weird, firework like smell. I need help and his is my commuting car, I need this fixed asap!!

Check your plugs and wires and distributer cap.
