Dead 05 mini-seeking help

Hi-Newbie here, I have a 2005 base mini love the car but have elec. malfunction- it has a fully charged brand new batt. but everything electrical is dead lights interior or exterior, nothing happens when put key in, it is like there no batt, in it. i checked the grounds all the fuses couldn't find the problem. Does anyone ran across problems like this? An y thoughts or help would really be appreciated. thanks, Ray

Hello,

my first time replying to a post. I am a beginner when it comes to diagnosing car problems but one question that crossed my mind is does our mini keys complete some kind of circuit?

If so, maybe there's an electrical issue with the key ignition system circuit (if you checked this then overlook this post). I don't know if there's a way to open that circuit up and use a voltmeter to check circuit continuity. Or maybe I am misperceiving this situation or where you are along the diagnosing process.

All the Best,

Patrick
