I live in southern Ontario. I don't know if this is a winter problem or not. Sometimes my door won't open from the inside or out. It might last for a day or a week and then all or a sudden it will work fine again. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Please help!!!!

 

I have noticed ours will do it when it is very cold outside and snowy. I figured it was just frozen. I strong tug or push always opens it. Does this work for you?

 

No. There is no resistance from the lock mechanism when you try to open the door from the inside or outside. But the next time or the next day it works perfectly.

 

I noticed on my wife's today the inside part in the handle that you pull with your fingers was stuck in the chrome handle. She called me from the driveway and told me her door would not open. I noticed this when I went out and tried to open the door. I took my hand and popped the handle and it released. I could then pull the handle and open the door. I checked the passenger side and it had the same problem. Popped it with hand and it released and then opened.
