first mini cooper mod
 

Hi, i jsut got a 06 mini cooper not the s. I am wondering what mods i should do first. I am only 17 so money is limited but im thinking intake exhaust? what does anyone suggest? and what brands, or websites took look at? any help is much apreciated.

Um, Alta make some stuff for the MINI. Try looking around bigger MINI forums for answers, this place is pretty green still.

When you go get answers somewhere else though, make sure to come back here and share what you've learned! That's how we'll grow.:)

i finally got my first mod for my car short ram air intake by k&n i got a good deal on it for $160 on http://www.partsandaccessories.com/ on www.knfilters.com they said its gives 3.4 hp but everyother site said 5-15 beacause there trying to sell the product of course. but i think overall this was the best first mod i could do the throttle reponse is much better and the intake sounds awsome from 3700-4500 rpm. it also gets 3 miles more a gallon, which is a plus with todays gas prices.

i would reccomend this mod to anyone and if someone knows of a good ecu upgrade i woudl liek to know

keep in mind that advertised hp gains may have been correct in their tests, but their tests have the absolute best conditions...
