Got a 2003 Mini Base as a commuter car

Got a 2003 Mini base as a commuter car for free from a family member. After the first week of driving the clutch went out in the car ( 151K miles on the original clutch). Originally was quoted $1750 for a new clutch but after having the transmission out more potential problems were found adding up to $3600 in parts and labor
  • One CV axle boots were shot ( replacing the whole axle)
  • Clutch fork was really warn ( replacing both fork and Lever)
  • both shifter cables needed to be replaced
  • clutch kit
  • Fly wheel was able to be saved
If i had a garage I would have done the work myself but at this time I don't ( of the $3600 , $1875 was in labor).

I estimated the mini will save me around $200 per month in gas compared to driving my Tundra. My dilemma now is do I keep driving it to try to recoup my cost, or do i cut my losses and try to sell it for $3k - $4k. Car drove great the week that I had it. Only issue with the car that I can see is there is a small paint bubble were rust has started by the back tail light.

What do you guys think drive it into the ground or try to sell it, it has 151,000 miles. Thanks in advanced for any insight.
