Heater/AC control panel Lights

Hi Folks!

Just wondering if anyone can give me some help!

I have a 2006 Mini Cooper, and just recently the lights went out on the control panel that contains all the heater/AC control dials! The lights inside the dials are all out, and I can't find anything in the owner's manual that gives me any clues!

has this happened to any other 2006 Cooper owners? If so, how did you fix it? I really do NOT want to take it in to the dealer, as I'd like to save a few bucks and do this myself!
