Thumbs down I can shift gears without engaging the clutch

what is wrong with my mini? my friends and I were going on a joyride and suddenly the car wouldn't go into first gear at a stop light.

Probably time for a new clutch. I'm guessing displacement plate.

How old is the clutch and has it ever been replaced? Can you get it into any other gear? What is your pedal travel like? Does the clutch pedal feel spongy at all? Was there any slippage of gears? Any hydraulic leaks under the vehicle? If you've determined it is in fact the clutch we have some pretty awesome kits below as well as a DIY that can help with the replacement:
