Immobilizer?
 

I've just had extensive work done on my Daughter's 05 Mini Convertible after she played chicken with a deer at 60mph. They both lost. We just got the car back from the body shop last weekend and it was doing fine. She stopped to gas up and it wouldn't even turn over. So, I have it back at the Body shop but I'm afraid they may be stumped. They are checking all the normal culprits, battery, starter ect.. but the car runs great when you push it off. It may turn out to be the starter or solenoid but the timing is suspect. I was just researching other things that could be wrong and found a thread about the Immobilizer. Just thought I would ask you guys if there is something I'm missing. I'm just the one that paid for it but it's her car so I know very little about it. Any comments are welcomed.
