Default Leaking Automatic Transmission 2003 mini

I have a 2003 mini cooper with about 100k. The tranny fluid was changed about 2 months ago. Yesterday when it was driven, it started slipping at about 3K rpms. It does accelerate to highway speeds, as long as I stay below 3k rpm.
There is tranny fluid leaking out of the hole at the bottom to the left of the pan.
Is this a seal that can be replaced or is the tranny shot? Any suggestions?

Do you know the maintenance history of the transmission? If the fluid was not changed at the scheduled times and your change was the first you may have caused the issue. The new fluid cleans out the system and the plates which were maybe burned or glazed will start to slip as the new fluid cleans the glaze off leaving the burned plates with a slick surface. The fluid leak should not cause slippage unless the fluid level has dropped substantially. It is highly recommended that if the fluid has never been changed and the mileage is 100k, that you do not change it at this point.
