I have a 02 mini with 57K miles. Just had a service done (not at dealership). Since then my car will not start on the first try. Whether hot or cold it takes 2 cranks for it to start, otherwise it runs like a champ. Anyone else experienced this same problem?

 

What service did you have done? My 02 has 106k and starts and runs like a champ.

 

I'm having the same problem. If I turn the key to on and let the fuel pump run, then it starts right away. Is there a check valve on the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator?

My 2005 CVT car sat on a lot for five years unsold and I got it for a song but there are issues.
