Hello Everyone, I just bought my R50. I decided I wanted a 05, I test drove only that year (about 6 diffrent ones) till I landed mine. They were all optioned different and all but mine had over 100k on them(mineonly has 50kmi) they all seemed different when on the gas. Mine seems slower off the line and it has a cold air intake the others didn't, Does anyone know what could cause this? Mine is loaded but has a 5 speed. Thanks in advance

 

Assuming the '05's you test drove were R50's (Cooper non-s) as well or R53's (Cooper S)?

 

Yes they were all R50's. I decided right from the get go I didnt want anything but a R50

 

Curious, when was the last time you did routine maintenance items such as cleaning your engine air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter change, fluid changes, etc?

 

I havent yet. I just bought it 5/14/16 so I hope the car lot I purchased it from would have done some of it before they put it up for sale. At least I know the dealer I work for does all the maintance when they safty the car before sale

 

I'd double check on what they did and what the service records are. Good luck!
