Hey i have my 2006 Mini cooper R50 and my car's ignition lock started sticking periodically, and I discovered that it sticks when inserted one way, but not the other. i have consulted to one locksmith they told me to charge $650.00 to repair it. i found it very expensive. Is there any other cheaper way to fix this issue if someone knows kindly help me from here.

 

when you say it sticks one way and not the other you mean the way the key is inserted ?

If thats the case I'd wonder if the key is worn have you had a new key cut?
