Im new to this forum so a little bit about the car, I have an 04 cooper s the MC40 edition. It has 66k on it, daily driven. The only thing i have on it is an M7 CAI, everything else is stock. A week or so a go i developed an odd engine noise, it sounded like it was coming from the passenger side of the engine, thought it was the timing chain tensioner, it was not...Drove it around the block and now it sounds worse. Here,s a video i took of it in the garage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

 

belt tensioner? have you found resolution to the issue? is it bouncing around like crazy? I'd start there.

 

It's bottom end. Took the serpentine belt off noise was still there, I was thinking it may have been the supercharger. Took the valve cover off everything looked and felt great up top. Took the passenger side wheel off and checked all the pullys everything is tight and looks great. So I'm buying a new engine well used engine lol
