2003 Mini S Harmon kardon front speaker not working
 

Hi,
I just bought a 2003 cooper S with 71000 miles, has Harmon kardon speakers and all speakers and tweeters are working except the two lower/larger on bottom of the doors.

Before I tear in to the car, like to know if this is a common issue and where to start the trouble shooting?

speaker seem to have internal issues....visibility it is okay but sound comes and goes...bought replacement speakers for front and rear...sounds good now

I have the same exact problem you had with my door speakers. The rear and small tweeters are working, but no Mid Range. What was the cause of your issue? I'm looking for a starting point. Thanks. Russ.
