2004 Mini S Nav system questions
I'm excited to now be a part of the cooper community. I would have liked to get a complete custom new one but after learning there was a 6-8 week wait and I needed a car now I got a 2004 Cooper S that I liked.
The model came with a built in GPS nav system. First I've noticed it only seems to have major high ways there are very few roads and it often looks like I'm just driving in the middle of a field. I'm not in some small town either, I live in Austin, TX, not far from downtown. Is there anyway to update the maps or get more detailed maps for my area? Secondly it's very annoying I have to confirm this warning message about not being an idiot while driving when ever I turn the car on. How can I disable this screen ? |
I figured out how to adjust the scale so I can see the streets :)
I'd still like to get rid of the warning confirmation screen |
Check with the dealer for both updated software and programming to get rid of the screen I test drove one and the screen showed up for 30 seconds ten loaded no confirmation needed
