2006 Mini Cooper S Making Ticking Noise
 

My 2006 Mini Cooper S is making a ticking noise. Seems to be coming from front left of the engine compartment when facing the car. It does not start until the car warms up and then it just ticks away. Anyone know what is the cause? It does not seem to impact the performance of the vehicle, car accelerates and seems to be running fine, but the noise concerns me. I had my oil changed hoping that would fix it but it is still ticking (I know naive!). I had to have my automatic transmission replaced a few months back and it was very, very expensive. Now this! I'm hoping it is just something simple. A girl can dream!
