Audi guy looking to buy a MINI

Hello everyone I currently drive a 2003 audi a4 and it is a pile, i currently work for a very large dealership franchise in wisconsin. I really love the look and concept of the mini s. long story short there is a 2004 MINI cooper s at one of our lots that i am test driving today its 10,000 and has 75k on it I know for that year and miles the price is a bit steep but thats how much it is on the lot for not how much my employee discount gets me. needless to say it will turn out to be a pretty sweet deal if the car checks out good. thats where you guys come in, what if anything should I look, listen or ask for? beyond the basic questions you ask when buying a used vehicle. also is there anything i should be concerned with running into at this milage? I have been driving it all day and i really do like it alot gears seem good clutch seems strong no odd ball noises that i hear from just normal driving.

thanks for any advice you can give me !!

Hi Audi Guy. Welcome to the forum. I have the same year and model MCS as you. I bought mine last July and it had 44k on it. I did test drive it before I bought it. It's a really fun car to drive. For a car being almost 15yrs old I didn't find anything wrong with it. Aside from a few creaks when I slowly go over speed bumps but that's about it. I know the 1st gens get a little bit of negative feedback but in whole I think these little cars can last quite a long way. Cheers!
