Low RPM power drag

Running a stock 2005 Mini Cooper S with 15% pulley. My issue is that there seems to be a fairly substantial lag in RPM power-up from idle to about 2500 RPM. Unless I drive the car like a granny, I have to rev up to 2500 RPM before I can engage the cluth from a full stop to get the car moving in 1st gear. If I drive it like every other car I have ever owned, the engine bogs down until the supercharger can spool up enough. I end up having to slip the clutch quite a bit to prevent spinning the wheels when starting from a dead stop due to the fact I have to rev up to 2500 RPM just to overcome the supercharger lag. Driving aggressively is no issue, but if I don't want to squeal out every time I start off, I have to slip the clutch much more than normal, and seems I will prematurely destroy the clutch. It seems to me that at idle, the supercharger pull is bogging the engine down. I asked my dealer to raise the idle up to about 1200 RPM, but they said that can't be done. Would switching to a lighter flywheel / crank pulley help overcome this problem? Or perhaps an ECU re-map will allow more low RPM power? The car is recently tuned and has no other performance issues.

Thanks, Chuck
