Maximum tire width on 17" wheels

Maximum tire width on 17" wheels

Just purchased a set of 17" wheels for my 2006 mini. What is the maximum width tires I can put on them without their getting "mushy" in turns? Thanks

215/45/17 is the factory sized 17's
