power steering problem

Default power steering problem
we have a 05 mini cooper S and have a problem with the power steering going out when we go over a bump. The steering comes back after the car sits for a while. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Check the electrical connector that might have a bad connection

check the fan too. my steering would go out once in a while, then i finally went out all the way. it was fan failure which led to pump failure.
expensive!!
