Question Roaring noise from front end

I have an r53 with the full cooper works, love the car, this last week i have noticed a strange kind of roaring noise coming from the front end, its only whilst im driving, it almost sounds like theres a storm blowing under the bonnett? any ideas before i take it to the garage and they charge me a fortune going through th process of elimination and replacing everything they can think of!

Might be a bearing hub. Look at the back and see if there is rust coming out of the back.
