So what do you think?

Hi there-

First time poser.... I'm thinking about going to look at this tomorrow and wanted to get your option on the price vs milage. Is 83k a lot of miles for a Mini? I just spoke to the guy that's selling it and he seemed reasonable.

Looks pretty darn clean from the pictures ... I'd see if you can get the maintenance records with it ...

From the pictures, it looks like a very nice MCS. Definitely check the maintainance records, on the vehicle to see if it was probably maintained. The mileage really isn't a major factor if the maintainance was performed. Also take it on a long test drive, and put it through it paces. Check the cars excelleration, brakes for wear, suspension for rebound and damping. Do a thourough evaluation, because once bought it can not be returned. But I think that this is a nice looking MCS. I bought my 03 MCS back in June 08, for 17K with 22k on the odometer, and I went on a 1.5 hour test drive in lancaster PA, amish country with alot of country roads. This really put the car through the ringer, especially the suspension, brakes. I really push this car on the straights, up to 120 mph. The only issue was the drivers door lock, didn't work with the remote. But if you buy this car, I think that you'll be happy with it. The one thing that I will tell you is that Mini's aren't cheap to repair, due to the compactness of the engine bay. You have to remove alot of crap just to get at alot of things. Mini's rules.....keep motoring.
