Default throw out berring

my 2004 mini cooper S has a rattle (throw out berring?) when at idle.

it goes away when the clutch peddle is depressed. Is this common?

What is the process to replace it $?

mine does the same thing. Been doing it for over 6,000 miles now. Doesn't seem to be getting worse. I'm not worrying about it.

my cooper did that then had a wine from the diff and then went bang, removed gearbox to find a hole in it and a lot of bits, so if you get any wine from the diff DONT DRIVE IT.

Default On my '04 R50 5 spd manual...

...I have the rattle when in gear and that goes away immediately upon pushing the clutch pedal to the floor, and I have the whine that seems to persist a little after shutting off the engine.

Is this strictly a TO bearing issue, or flywheel issue, or....?
