My 2006 mini cooper (31,000 miles) has water in drivers side floor, more like a puddle and fog the windshield overnight. I just notice that my jeans foot is soaking wet. With further inspection, I see that the floor mat is soaking wet in the center spot and a wet portion in the rear driver's side mat. It's dry under the seat. Any clues?

I don't have a sunroof.

 

So, it is determined that the driver side window seal was defected and water has been seeping into the door pane and settling into the under compartment of the car. With accumulation, both driver side front and back had ample amount of water that had no where else to go and began rising through the floor board.
