Help identifying a Mini

Hi:

Visiting a friend of mine, he took me to see a Mini his son in law had gotten from a shop owner who wanted it out of his property.

We were told that it was a 1965 Mini, but upon looking at it, I noticed a couple of peculiar things: the car had the smallest disc rotors I have seen, and there was an S attached to the rear panel.

Also, although I failed to take a picture of the instrument panel, It looked like it had several gauges instead of just a speedometer and tachometer.

Can someone help me identify this car?

Thanks

Hi mid 60's yes around that time due to the split side windows.did it have a single s u carb,I would guess a standard mini 1000,that has seen modifications over the years as most have, the s badge is a new design so just a stick on.
