Buying a used Mini S
 

I've been looking at some used Mini Coopers and have found some 07's that look promising. Is there anything I should look for as far as possible issues?

I realize this is an old thread BUT...
Don't mean to start off pi$$ing people off , but it seems like one of two things ; either everybody has had absolutely no problems with their Mini's ??? Or are not to friendly with advise here ?

I've been lurking here a few times and it seems there is a lot of threads that ask questions and get no replies but you can clearly see a lot has read the thread but not replied.

I myself am in the looking stages for a Mini S Convertible but I don't have the foggiest clue about them other than what I read here (which ain't much )

07 problems
 

While buying my 2010 this past Saturday I encountered a guy and his little boy who told me that the 07 he owns is the most fun car he's ever driven. The challenge is that he is trading it because of the many problems. He is stuck on mini's and is buying a new one but had not nice things to say about the reliability of the 07. Apparently, many of the bugs were worked out by 2009 and beyond. Consumer reports would collaborate this. I bought a 5/ 60,000 extended warranty in spite of the relatively low 16,500 miles on my new 2010 hatchback s. Only drove it home to PA from Baltimore but such fun!
