Dealership Get Ready Fee?

Hi there! I'm new to the MCF, so new that I don't even have my MINI yet. Imogene Naomi (yes, I'm that strange already) went into production 2 weeks ago. I'm super excited to get her! She is a 2013 S Hardtop.

I just have a questions for any of you that may have built your MINI's....My dealer listed a fee for Final Get Ready of $500. Here is the sales person's explanation of this fee: "The get ready covers the 3.5 hours that our techs work to get the car road ready. They come off the ship with NO settings done and suspension, etc."

BUT, according to the MINI Owners' Lounge order tracking module it looks to me like those things are set up at the distribution center, not at the dealership.

Any advice that anyone has on this would be great! I just want to be prepared.

Thank you all soo very much! I am looking forward to posting much more once I get my baby.

This looks the way for the dealer to increase his profit margin. And it is all part of the price negotiations.
