You have to gauge HOW LONG you are going to keep the car
HOW MANY MILES you drive
If you are only going to hold onto it a year or 2 likely not worth it
If you are getting a 5 year loan then yes it might be
Also check around some mini dealers are really high on them
Also read what they cover and are they transferable or can you get a refund?

Thanks again
Well keep it for a long time but they have a service and extended warranty and they are spendy. Wondering if you can purchase at a later date?

My understanding is that you can pick it up at any time before your free warranty expires, the only advantages to getting it now might be to include the cost in your financing and because the price is subject to change and could go up hundreds if you buy it later. It DOES transfer if you sell the car, but I can't imagine breaking even on it if you sell.

Why buy an extended warranty when you get a factory warranty when you buy a new car? You are simply paying for a double warranty that overlap each other. If you're concerned about a warranty AFTER the factory warranty runs out, shop around when the factory warranty only has a few months left on it and purchase it then. Yes, it will cost more at a later date, however, it will carry on AFTER the factory warranty has lapsed and that's where you need to be covered assuming you feel the need.
