Extended Warranty - buy or not?

Hi y'all - I'm a single gal and own a 2011 S type with 24,700 miles. The warranty clock is ticking. I don't even check oil myself. I've left everything to the dealer. They say I will save a bundle if I purchase a warranty before I get to 25k miles. They offer the Easy Care and a manufacturers warranty. Dealer said the manufacturers is too expensive to even quote. What should I do?

My wife bought a 2011 clubman in September and got the extended warranty and also 100K service agreement. I am retired mechanic and I told her I have plans on working on that thing and after reading about all the issues with the turbo models I think it would be a good idea to consider it. I opened the hood of hers at the dealership and all I could fine was the dipstick the overflow bottle the brake fluid reservoir, battery, washer fluid bottle have no clue where water pump, power steering pump or alternator is which mean it must accessible from under the car or by removing stuff from the top. I love the car and enjoy driving it when she lets me but have no desire to work on it. Good luck

Tom
