Anyone here clean their mini with home made cleaning products? Every single product we use at home for cleaning is something we put together ourselves mixing different ingredients and we thought there must be similar types of home made cleaning recipes for cleaning our Mini exterior and interior. Anyone have particular things they make for cleaning?

 

Nope. I'm happy with the cleaning products I have for general, leather, exterior, glass..... I have products in house for everything and they work great on my MINIs.

 

So what do you use?

 

First - I never let my cars get in bad shape, even in Winter. I use a pressure sprayer for most of the outside. I use mostly hot/warm water and extremely soft chamois for exterior and microfibre cloths for wiping interiors. For leather I use Murphy's Leather Soap, For cleaning glass I use Spray Away Glass Cleaner (best of all time) then exteriors get Rain-X. For any other specialized cleaning, like exterior plastic parts, I use Meguiar's Plast-X (only used on cars). Paint gets a wipe, when needed, with Shine Armor Ceramic Coating. I use Trainshow Deerskin Chamois to wipe water off and these microfiber cloths for interior wipes. Most of these are used in my home.
For me, the most important thing is that I keep my cars clean and maintained all the time so I don't have to do any intensive "cleaning" or recovery.
